Staff - Research Associate, MRC dyslexia project
Dr Odette Megnin was Research Associate on the MRC study Auditory Processing in Dyslexic Children: Behavioural and Neural Investigations. Prior to joining the CNE, Odette was awarded her PhD in 2010 from the Institute of Child Health, UCL, which examined electrophysiological correlates of audio-visual perception of spoken words in typical development and autism spectrum disorder.
In 2011 Odette joined the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH) as a systematic reviewer producing NICE guidance on the diagnosis and management of autism spectrum disorder in adults, and in children and young people.
Odette's interests lie in the cognitive neuroscience of audiovisual speech and in understanding developmental disorders, in particular dyslexia and autism.
