Lisa Barnes

Research Assistant


Biography:

Lisa was a Research Assistant on the MRC funded study Auditory Processing in Dyslexic Children: Behavioural and Neural Investigations. Before joining the CNE, Lisa studied at the University of Bristol (BSc Experimental Psychology, 2006) and then went on to work in a variety of settings with children and adults with learning disabilties and mental health difficulties. She worked as a Research Assistant for the University of Manchester on a project investigating the efficacy of early intervention services for individuals with first episode psychosis and within an Educational Psychology service, providing assessment and interventions to children and young people with specific learning difficulties and emotional health needs. Lisa left the CNE in September 2012 and completed her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East Anglia in 2015.
